Presenting....you!

We've all seen people giving presentations who look really uncomfortable doing so, or worse, we've all been to presentations where it's painfully obvious that the presenter has been on a presentation skills course that has ended up making them look even more unnatural and uncomfortable!
These people are either:
- boring to listen to - so you find that you "zone out" of what they're saying,
- or they are so nervous that you start to feel uncomfortable for them because you don't want them to look and feel nervous or to embarrass you!
- or they repeat the same rather odd learned "techniques" which are supposed to help them look more professional but end up making them look stiff and unnatural.
It's a vicious cycle and no matter how many so-called "presentation skills" courses you go on, things are generally much the same.
Why me?
+As a professional singer, I am in the business of performing and more importantly, I know how to retain an audience's interest and attention;
+As a professional singing and performance teacher, I am in the business of presenting information to groups of people in a way that they can easily understand and feel stimulated by;
+As a director and producer, I am in the business of communicating to groups of people how to perform well;
+I have also done a lot of compering to audiences of 200+
+As a qualified, practising hypnotherapist, I know how NOT to send people to sleep!
For any presentation, it's important to understand:
+how to use your voice safely and how to project it properly (this section of the workshop will include a basic introduction to how the voice is produced and good breathing technique);
+how to speak in a way everyone can understand;
+how to keep people's attention focused on you, rather than finding them drifting off to sleep!
+the psychology of an audience;
+how different tones of voice can mean the difference between your listeners being stimulated by what you're saying or falling asleep;
+what your body language says to an audience and more importantly to you;
+how to understand your own nervous process and manage your nerves more effectively.
Make no mistake, singing in front of an audience is 500% harder than any presentation you'll ever give (and this is echoed by those of my individual and course students who work in the management sector - right up to chief executive level).
As such, I am able to help those members of your workforce who struggle with presenting, to start to relax and understand how to perform better than they thought possible.
